After helping to define the sound of ’80s underground rock with Hüsker Dü, Bob Mould surged into the ’90s alternative landscape with a new trio called Sugar alongside David Barbe and Malcolm Travis. The band only lasted a few years, but in their time they made their mark, releasing two full-lengths, an EP, and a B-sides compilation between 1992 and 1995. Mould’s solo band spent much of 2012 performing Sugar’s debut Copper Blue on tour, and the album was remastered and reissued that same year. Now something new might be afoot in Sugar world.
