Excessive Force Reunite For First Show In 30 Years At FYA Fest 2026

The straight-edge metallic hardcore band Excessive Force were based in Orange County for a few years in the mid-’90s before frontman Dan Gump went on to record with Decontaminate, then leave the scene altogether. At the time of their sole album release, 1995’s In Your Blood, Gump (who also ran Life Sentence Records) was an aircraft mechanic in the Marine Corps, which complicated touring plans. In Your Blood was reissued a bunch of times since then, most recently by the French label Knives Out last year, and yesterday Excessive Force brought their angry metalcore to the stage for the first time in 30 years.
