Among the many events in Los Angeles this week leading up to Sunday’s Grammys ceremony was an event honoring Pharrell Williams. Pharrell, who was just knighted in France last week, was the guest of honor at the Recording Academy Honors, presented by the academy’s Black Music Collective at the Fairmont Century Plaza. Brandy and Kirk Franklin were also honored at the event, which featured Justin Timberlake’s first public performance since revealing his Lyme disease diagnosis in July.
