Ekko Astral Explain Split With Drummer, Label

A few weeks ago, the Washington, DC punk band Ekko Astral announced their sophomore album the beltway is burning and the second edition of Liberation Weekend, their trans-rights music festival. Shortly after that, Topshelf Records, the bands label, announced that it “can no longer support Ekko Astral and will not be releasing their album the beltway is burning.” Instead, the band plans to self-release the record.
