Bruce Hornsby Plays Fallon As His Debut Album Turns 40

Bruce Hornsby & The Range released their debut album The Way It Is on April 24, 1986. Big record. The Way It Is went triple platinum, and its title track reached #1 and got sampled on a million rap songs. Hornsby won the Best New Artist Grammy, and then he went on to a long and interesting career, which is not something that happens with every winner of that particular award. Six days ago, The Way It Is turned 40, and that is an anniversary worth celebrating.
