The relentlessly playful and inventive Philly rapper Tierra Whack emerged as a dizzy artistic force on her 15-minute musical/visual feast Whack World in 2018, though she didn’t release her proper debut album World Wide Whack until 2024. I’d say she’s quietly become an influential figure in that time; it would be hard to imagine a figure like Doechii emerging if Whack hadn’t come first. So it’s a good time for Whack to announce a new mixtape.
