In the pandemic summer of 2020, four brilliant likeminded musicians on the borderline of jazz and hip-hop announced they’d formed a new supergroup. Dinner Party brought together saxophonist Kamasi Washington, pianist Robert Glasper, and the super-producers Terrace Martin and 9th Wonder. In short order, they released their self-titled debut album and a star-studded revamped edition titled Dinner Party: Dessert. In 2023, Dinner Party were back with another album, Enigmatic Society. Now it’s time for a third go-round.
