In his later years, Nashville-based outlaw country legend Chris Gantry has experienced a resurgence with assistance from the community surrounding Chicago indie fixture Drag City Records. In 2017, Drag City reissued Gantry’s lost album At The House Of Cash. In 2019, we shared “Box Of Crayons,” his Bill Callahan collab from the Jerry David DeCicca-produced Nashlantis. He’s since released The Outlaw Bible on Steadyboy Records, and this year he’ll return with Worth Every Nail on Appalachia Record Co.
