Just last year, the LA-based indie rock minimalist Lael Neale released her album Altogether Stranger on Sub Pop. This fall, she’ll follow that LP with a new one called As Killers Do — sick title — on her own label Consensual Sound. Lead single “Slip Away” is a haunted, sophisticated garage rock jam that sits on some grand cosmic continuum between Stereolab and the Ramones. It promises great things ahead.
