Last December, while shockwaves from Geese’s album Getting Killed rippled through the world, that band’s frontman Cameron Winter played what was apparently a momentous solo show at the storied New York venue Carnegie Hall. Winter played songs from his 2024 solo album Heavy Metal, as well as some unreleased ones. Paul Thomas Anderson, who was a few months away from finally winning his Oscars for One Battle After Another, was on hand to film the show. Today, PTA finally announces his long-awaited concert film Cameron Winter At Carnegie Hall. It’s coming to theaters this fall, but it’s not getting a wide release — not yet, anyway. Instead, the movie is going on tour.
