Emma Ogier is a young alt-rock singer-songwriter from Houston who seems to be on a very sharp upward trajectory. Ogier was a teenager during the pandemic, and she developed her twangy and oblique sound in relative isolation. Then she moved to Nashville and released a series of independent singles, starting in 2023. She recently signed with Lost Highway and assisted on Dominic Fike’s new single “Small Town.” In the months ahead, she’ll play Austin City Limits, tour with Hovvdy, and do some shows as a member of Bright Eyes. Now, she’s ready to announce her full-length debut Fly 1111.
