Lana Del Rey has been threatening to go country for several years now, and it hasn’t quite happened yet. At a 2024 pre-Grammy party, Del Rey announced plans for a country album, which was going to be called Lasso. Since then, she’s released a few singles, and she also sang about kissing Morgan Wallen on a still-unreleased song that she debuted at the country-centric Stagecoach Festival last year. Her country album, which still hasn’t come out, has gone through a few titles, is now going to be called Stove. Del Rey says that it’s still coming and that it may have a companion album. Last month, she teased a Zach Bryan collab. Now, she’s getting together with Wallen and her alligator tour-guide husband to host the in-game country radio station in the hotly anticipated blockbuster game Grand Theft Auto VI.
