The metalcore revival continues! Right now, we’re deep in a wave of very, very young bands like I Promised The World and Holder finding big audiences with a studied, sincere version of the heavy, melodic, epic metalcore sounds of the ’00s. Plenty of the musicians in this scene probably weren’t alive for the release of the records that they revere, and the fresh-faced South Texas band A New Day definitely belong on that list. A New Day self-released their debut EP So Close To Perfection… last year, and now they’ve signed with DAZE, arguably the most important label in hardcore right now, to announce its follow-up.
