Way back in 2014, when she was just coming off of the success of her mega-hit “Call Me Maybe” and working on her critically beloved album E·MO·TION, Carly Rae Jepsen made her Broadway debut, playing the lead role in the musical Cinderella. More than a decade later, Jepsen is coming back to Broadway, but not as an actor. This time around, she’s getting together with Girls auteur Lena Dunham and writing a musical based on the beloved 1999 high-school rom-com 10 Things I Hate About You. If you’re a millennial theater kid, this is the dream.
