Do you know about this guy Role Model? It’s fine if you don’t. You’re not really missing anything. Role Model, also known as Maine native Tucker Pillsbury, is one of these alt-pop pinup guys. He was on Saturday Night Live last year, and he had Charli XCX out dancing onstage with him. He gets booked at a lot of festivals …

It’s all one track. On any streaming service, Invasion Body Camera, the new collaborative EP from experimental rap titans Fatboi Sharif and ELUCID, shows up as a single 12-minute track, even though it’s actually six individual songs. When I first his play, I didn’t know what was going on. This is just a wonderfully unfriendly gesture. It’s what Prince wanted …

Way back in 1988, the former Napalm Death member Justin K. Broadrick got together with fellow young Birmingham musician B.C. Green to form Godflesh, a duo who combined slow, heavy music with psychedelic textures and electronic techniques like drum machines and sampling. Their 1989 debut Streetcleaner was hugely influential in the realms of extreme metal, industrial, and noise-rock, as well …

Ryan Hemsworth loves to collaborate. Even his last solo album, 2018’s Elsewhere, had a myriad of guests. Since then, he’s worked with Tinashe, Dazy, Avery Springer, Snow Ellet, Shalom, Yurufuwa Gang, and more, and his project Bodysync with Giraffage has been very active. If that’s not enough, he’s currently a part of Gia Margaret’s live band. But now he’s back …
