Dancehall Announce New Album 100% Music: Hear “Fun”

The London trio Dancehall don’t play dancehall music, and they only sound a little bit like that Modest Mouse song “Dance Hall.” As heard on “Fun,” the much more aptly titled lead single from their forthcoming album 100% Music, it’s more like chipper, radio-friendly pop-rock that takes a brief detour into noise-rock after an a cappella break that resembles Drowning …

Whitney Announce New Album Small Talk: Hear “Dandelions”

The music of the soulful, soft-rockin’ Chicago indie band Whitney makes me think of gorgeous summer days in their hometown. This may only be true of my own experience with the group, but their songs conjure nostalgia for the many weekends I’ve spent attending the dearly departed Pitchfork Music Festival, such a fixture of my summers that I’m still mourning …

Living Hour Announce New Album Internal Drone Infinity: Hear “Wheel”

Living Hour are back. Like 2022’s Someday Is Today, Living Hour recorded Internal Drone Infinity with Jay Som’s Melina …
