Instead, Nuovo Testamento, a trio whose members are based in New York and Bologna, make a dizzily joyous take on cheesy, emotional Euro-dance. They pull influences from multiple generations and subgenres, from freestyle and hi-NRG all the way up to ’00s trance, but there’s nothing ironic about them. They’re just making dizzy, fun dance music, and your day is about to get a little more slaphappy when you hear their new song “Picture Perfect.”
