An Oklou film score makes so much sense. Oklou’s Choke Enough, one of last year’s very best albums, cast a weirdly magical spell. When I play it in the car, I feel like I’m living in a montage. On top of that, Oklou is enough of a movie head that she’s serving as a Critics’ Week judge at this week’s Cannes Film Festival. A few days ago, Oklou worked with Theodora and SebastiAn to cover the Beatles at the Cannes opening ceremony. She also scored a new film that just debuted at Cannes.
