At Lollapalooza last night, the Smashing Pumpkins brought out Olivia Rodrigo, Melissa Auf der Maur, and Yungblud. Rodrigo sang “Thirty-Three,” and it was only the second time the Pumpkins have played the Mellon Collie single since 2018 — the first was at their Lollapalooza aftershow at the Riviera on Wednesday. It was also the Smashing Pumpkins’ first time playing their hometown festival in 32 years.
