By now, we’re all well aware that Geese frontman Cameron Winter is a goofy dude with profound creative skills. Now, there’s an unearthed track that he wrote when he was a kid, solidifying that he’s always been a genius. You know when the videos of Timothée Chalamet rapping about statistics or performing Nick Minaj lyrics were discovered? Yeah, this is …

The LA synth-punk band Grey Factor did not last long — just from 1979 to 1980 — and they didn’t leave a huge impression in their day. But Grey Factor’s intense beep-snarp music feels eternally cool, and the band has gotten a couple of reissues lately — a complete studio collection in 2023, a live album last year. This fall, …

For a few years now, the New York-based artist Gabe ‘Nandez has been making intense, thoughful underground rap music. ‘Nandez is a prolific force with an fascinating sense of perspective, as he grew up around the world as the son of a UN Peacekeeper. Elias Rønnenfelt is on a collaborative tear. Last week, he released a cover of “My Suitor,” a 1983 single from the Belgian new wave band Bernthøler, that he worked on with Yung Lean and Fousheé. He also was spotted playing new guitar legend Mk.Gee at five-pin billiards, which I’m also now learning is called Italian billiards. He’s continuing his collaborative …

Ronboy was the opening act for Berninger’s North American tour in support of his new solo album Get Sunk, and she also performed as a member of Berninger’s band. She also …
