The members of the East London trio Envie (pronounced on-vee) have been friends since school. They’ve been at it for a while — their Bandcamp page under former band name Dystopia was last active in 2020, and they featured on FKA twigs’ Caprisongs track “Which Way” — but it looks like they’re ready to reintroduce themselves. The first upload on …

Well, shake it up baby, now. Twist and shout. Come on, come on, come on, come on baby, now. Come on and work it on out. As usual, that old-school rock ‘n’ roll spirit courses through Perennial’s new single “Modernism,” and so does bracing party-punk sass. The title track from the New England trio’s new album has a lot going …

The young London group plays artsy, orchestrally infused alt-rock — not unlike their forebears Black Country, New Road, but with less theater-kid energy and more of a pleasing radio-friendly edge. This week they’ve added one last single …

The latest single from Pink Eye Club, Windmill scene mainstay and disco luminary Haydn Davies, reminded me that I have an unfinished podcast I must listen to. The other day I started listening to Dr. Laurie Santos’ latest hot take on her podcast The Happiness Lab, which eloquently broke down why small talk sucks. Now Davies’ new track — which …
