Peter Gabriel kicked off the year with the announcement of his new album oi. However, this wasn’t a normal album cycle; the legendary singer-songwriter has been releasing a single for every full moon. Each track has two mixes — a Bright-Side mixed by Mark ‘Spike’ Stent and the Dark-Side mix by Tchad Blake — alongside a chosen piece of visual …

Shady Bug, the St. Louis band that are the latest signees to Julia’s War Recordings, will release their latest LP I wanted to be there at the end of this month. Holy crap, it’s October. Anyway, they’ve already shared the lead single “my night routine,” and today, they’ve followed it up with the new single “seed.” The post Shady Bug …

Willi Carlisle’s Tyler Childers-produced double album The Universal Bubba is shaping up swimmingly. We’ve thus far heard the old-school folk reel “Mason Jar At The Center Of The World” and the barroom rocker “Marlboro Vinyassa.” This week Carlisle added another new single that comes with an extremely fun music video. The post Willi Carlisle – “Gas Station” appeared first on …

Anytime the ascendant Irish star CMAT performs on TV, that’s appointment viewing. She’s a hugely engaging performer with a gigantic bazooka voice, and she makes the absolute most of every big performance. Fortunately, we’ve been getting a lot of those CMAT performances in the time since she released her album Euro-Country last year. Just a few weeks ago, CMAT was …
