On Nov. 10, the iconic Colombian singer announced his upcoming “Tour al Sol 2026.” The U.S. leg of his highly anticipated tour will kick off at the Radio City Music Hall in New York, NY, on Apr. 24, 2026, and wrap up at the Coliseo de Puerto The post Carlos Vives Unveils …

Charli XCX has a whole lot of cinematic projects in the works right now. She’s in the cast of no fewer than seven upcoming movies, and she’s also doing music for a big one that’s coming out early next year. Charli contributed multiple tracks to the soundtrack of the new Wuthering Heights adaptation from Emerald Fennell, director of Saltburn and …

On this date in 1989, Brooklyn’s own Pete Nice from Bed-Stuy teamed up with Far Rockaway lyricist MC Serch and DJ Richie Rich to drop 3rd Bass’ debut album, The Cactus…

Hayley Williams has done a lot of touring with her band Paramore, but she’s never actually been out on the road as a solo artist before. She was supposed to tour in 2020, but COVID fucked everything up. Finally, though, it’s about to happen. After releasing her very good new album Ego Death At The Bachelorette Party and jumping up …

Anytime a record comes out on the Flenser, the Bay Area label that specializes in dark, avant-garde underground music, that record is worth hearing. The forthcoming Ash Souvenir is coming out on the Flenser, and it’s from two Flenser artists, so you already know it’s going to be something. Ragana, the great Pacific Northwest queer black metal duo, recorded Ash …

About a month ago, Taylor Swift released her new album The Life Of A Showgirl. It sold a bajillion copies right away, and then lots of people hated it. Not me, though. I thought it was good. What? Shut up. Like you don’t like anything embarrassing. All the music you like is so cool. Jeez. Anyway. Waxahatchee’s Katie Crutchfield agrees …

Next week, Chicago post-punk experimenters Dendrons will return with their new album Indiana. We’ve already posted their hazy hypnotic single “Tuck Me Under,” and now they’ve shared the tingly, minimal new track “B4.” I like the mathematical precision on this one. It really holds back, and it cuts off when it seems like it’s just about to build to a …

Are you watching The Chair Company, Tim Robinson’s new HBO show? I’m watching it, but man, it’s not always easy. I’m watching because the show is obviously good. Robinson has figured out ways to translate his absurdist social-ineptness comedy into the conspiracy-thriller genre, and he’s created a truly compelling fusion. It’s just hard to watch someone make so many bad …
