Peter Hook Won’t Join New Order At Rock Hall Podium, But May Perform If They Apologize

New Order (and Joy Division) were recently announced as members of the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame’s Class Of 2026, and this November, they’ll also be performing at the induction ceremony. That news spawned speculation that founding bassist Peter Hook might be rejoining the band: In the nearly two decades since his departure, Hook has been embroiled in a verbal and legal feud with New Order frontman Bernard Sumner, and Hook doesn’t seem pleased with the musical direction New Order have taken without him. In a new interview with Rolling Stone this week, Hook cleared the air on how he plans to spend this year’s Rock Hall induction ceremony.
