The ferocious, shapeshifting Vancouver punk band PISS signed to Sub Pop in the spring, and now they’re ready to roll out their first album for the vaunted PNW label. The day before Halloween, Sub Pop (and Paper Bag Records in Canada) will put out you made me / skin on linen. They’re introducing it with “time loop at hot slit,” a frantic outburst about growing up amidst systemic violence that reportedly has emerged as an anthem within the band’s local scene.
