At least from a film-nerd perspective, one of the year’s most anticipated movies is the upcoming Spike Lee joint Highest 2 Lowest, a loose remake of the Akira Kurosawa classic High & Low. In the Kurosawa picture, Toshirō Mifune played a businessman at a shoe company trying to help his chauffeur after the chauffeur’s son has accidentally been kidnapped. In Highest 2 Lowest, Denzel Washington, Spike Lee’s greatest lead, stars as a record-label exec, a fun twist. And it sure looks like A$AP Rocky will be the villain.
