The latest offering from Kimi Recor‘s upcoming album Applewater is absolutely mesmerizing. Listening to it, I imagine being somewhere dark. Maybe it’s a forest. Maybe there are trees, bats wandering around their branched limbs. But there is certainly fog that grows outwards and upwards, majestic and slow and consuming. “Call To U,” with its haunting vocals and tender harp strums, is dark and strange like entering a portal to a new world.
