St. Louis musician Martin Meyer used to lead the punk band Lumpy And The Dumpers and run the label Lumpy Records. Since 2020, Meyer has been cranking out playful lo-fi power-pop under the name Soup Activists. (He’s really the only Soup Activist.) Thus far, Soup Activists have released a handful of EPs and one full-length, 2024’s Mummy What Are Flowers For? Next month, he’ll release a new one called Where The Rubbish Goes.
